Currently, many counters/indicators, audio devices and gear shift levers in cars are powered together with the necessary CAN BUS communication to enable their operation.Due to the lack of CANBUS communication, these devices do not switch on. OBDSTAR has therefore developed the MT501 to enable them to be switched on without CANBUS communication on the platform. All FCA vehicles after 2018 are equipped with a SGW security gateway module to prevent attacks on the vehicle's network via the CAN bus. Direct connection to the OBD II-16 connector does not always give the required results-you can read errors but not clear them, you cannot program the controllers as well as make adaptations/adjustments, etc. In the case of this problem, you can bypass the SGW (Security Gateway) using the presented adapter so that full communication functionality is available.
