The Pico Kit for Engines and Hydraulics combines our Diesel diagnostics kit with two WPS600C hydraulic pressure transducers, enabling fast and accurate fault diagnostics across a wide range of mobile machinery, heavy-duty vehicles, and agricultural equipment. The PicoScope solution has already been chosen by dozens of vehicle and equipment manufacturers thanks to its unique combination of value, reliability, performance, and guided diagnostics.

By combining precision hydraulic transducers with the PicoScope kit, you can now view hydraulic pressure values simultaneously with engine control signals, providing full system visibility. You can see the exact moment when valves in the hydraulic system begin to move and directly compare that with the relevant electronic controls. The system also enables investigation of engine stalling and no-start conditions, as it covers the entire engine and electrical system.

With PicoScope, you have direct access to over 150 integrated, guided tests covering sensors, actuators, and both electrical and engine systems. These include voltage and current measurements and tests for camshaft and crankshaft sensors, oxygen sensors, injectors, and many more. These tests support faster, first-time-right engine fault diagnosis; when combined with hydraulic analysis, they allow diagnostics of complex interactions between hydraulic and engine systems.

Flow Meters
For the Engine and Hydraulics Kit, Pico can supply a wide range of flow meters designed to work seamlessly with PicoScope. The Pico flow meter range has been developed in collaboration with leading industry supplier Webtec and is based on their highly popular range of turbine flow meters.

Pico offers three different flow meter sizes: 25 lpm (TA376), 300 lpm (TA377), and 600 lpm (TA378). All flow meters are equipped with a BNC output for direct connection to a PicoScope (note: the 8-channel PicoScope 4823 requires a frequency-to-voltage converter, which is not included in the kit), and a built-in thermistor for oil temperature measurement. They also include a Minimess M16x2 pressure test port for connection to the WPS600C. The two larger sizes also feature an integrated load valve, allowing for hydraulic system loading.

When connected to a PicoScope, you can log and capture real-time system performance under load conditions.

To facilitate connection, the flow meters are supplied with SAE or BSP inlet and outlet ports, depending on your requirements.
