Abrites AVDI VN002
Here is what you can use the VN002 function for:
– Diagnostic extraction and display of immobiliser related data. Possibility to align immobiliser related data – counter/ecu. Display of immobiliser related data from flash memory dump and micronas eeprom in IPC.
– Reading/programming of immobiliser memory in the counter.
– Reading/updating immobiliser-related data
– Reading/updating immobiliser data in VDO dashboards with NEC microcontroller (2009+) via OBDII
– Extraction and reading of PIN code, control of control module configuration memory content, component security data from EDC16, MED9.x, Simos PPD 1.1/1.5, Magnetic Marelli 4HV,7GV engine control units. Emergency start-up of EDC16 engine control units. The entire EEPROM for EDC15/ME7/EDC16 can be read out. For MED9 and Simos, only PIN / CS / MAC is displayed.
– Advanced diagnostic functionality – Fault data and electronic control unit configuration memory can be managed. Reading / Updating of Siemens airbag control data (CAN bus – ISO15765). Audi A6/Q7/Allroad, VW Golf 5…, Skoda Octavia II…, Seat Altea… With this special function we can Read/update the memory data of the airbag module. Clears the failure data of the airbag module.

BCM2 immobilzier – Audi A4, S4, RS4, A5,S5, RS5, A6, A7, A8, Q5 / VW Touareg
+Reading of PIN and CS from EDC17/MED17 of the engine control unit. With this function it is also possible to read engine control units from 2012+ units that have been updated and cannot be read via OBDII. With this special function, the EDC17/MED17 is not read via OBDII – you should have a direct connection to the engine control unit.
It is also possible to do this at the table, just connect 12V, ignition, CAN-H and CAN-L. It is possible to read the ECU also in the car, but you need to find somewhere the CAN-H (orange-black) and CAN-L (orange-brown) wires. So connect them to the AVDI and you will be able to read the engine control units.
The ECU can also be read in the car, but in this case we need to find the CAN-H (orange-black) and CAN-L (orange-brown) wires, then connect them to the AVDI which will enable us to read the engine control unit. + adapt the transmission control unit (TCU) to the immobiliser (BCM2). To do this, the TCU must first be read. The TCU cannot be read via OBDII,
but it can be read by connecting the TCU on the table or by connecting the AVDI to the CAN-Bus socket of the car.
DSG and CVT gearbox controllers are additionally supported for adaptation (DQ200 and DQ250).
To read from the CAN-Bus socket, we need to find the orange/black and orange/brown wires and then connect them to the AVDI. – orange/black <-> CAN-H (PIN6 of the OBDII)
– orange/brown <-> CAN-L (PIN14 of the OBDII)
– ground <-> GND (PIN4 of the OBDII)
– 12V <-> 12V (PIN16 of the OBDII)
+ Reading PIN/CS/MAC from the Simos PCR 2.1 engine control unit.
